The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre presents numerous events throughout the year including community-wide commemorative programs and memorial services, book launches, film screenings, public programs and conferences for teachers.

The four commemorative events dedicated to Holocaust remembrance include International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yom HaShoah, the High Holidays cemetery service (held at BC’s Holocaust memorial) and the Kristallnacht commemorative lecture. Audiences attending the events include Holocaust survivors and their families, members of the Jewish community, diverse cultural groups, members of the consular corps of British Columbia and elected officials. The events feature varied programming including Holocaust survivor speakers, second and third generation speakers, public lectures, film screenings, arts and cultural presentations, candle-lighting ceremonies, government proclamations and memorial prayers. The VHEC partners with Jewish and non-Jewish community organizations to ensure the success and reach of the events.
