The VHEC, in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver, presents Liliana, a documentary featuring Holocaust survivor and Italian Senator for Life Liliana Segre. The film traces her journey from childhood under Italy’s racial laws, to her deportation to Auschwitz at 13, and her lifelong work rebuilding her life and promoting human rights.

Segre, one of Italy’s most respected moral voices, was appointed Senator for Life in 2018 for her dedication to education, testimony, and the fight against intolerance.

Join us for wine and bites at 6pm at the Zack Gallery at the JCC, followed by the 90-minute screening in Italian with English subtitles at 6:30pm at the Rothstein Theatre, Jewish Community Centre.
