Join Holocaust historian Dr. Leon Saltiel for a lecture on “Maternal Words, Community Anguish: Intimate Family Correspondence on the Eve of the Holocaust in Thessaloniki.”
Saltiel, the director of diplomacy and representative at UN Geneva and UNESCO for the World Jewish Congress, will explore the personal letters and emotional struggles of Jewish Thessaloniki families in the lead-up to the Holocaust.
The event will be moderated by Dr. Dimitris Krallis, Director of the SNF Centre at SFU.
