Holocaust Survivor Speakers
It is our generation that will ensure the Holocaust does not happen again. We are the witnesses to witnesses and that is what makes this opportunity special, so personal. The Holocaust survivors and their stories are irreplaceable. —Student
Holocaust Survivor Speakers are survivors of the Holocaust who share their experiences of persecution, discrimination and loss with students and the general public as part of the VHEC’s educational programing.
Vancouver Holocaust survivors volunteer their time to share their stories with groups across Western Canada. If you are interested in hearing from a survivor speaker, please complete the application with the following understandings:
- There are a limited number of survivor speakers and engagements are based on availability of speakers.
- The fee for a survivor speaker is $200 per engagement. A subsidy or fee waiver available upon request thanks to generous support from Summit Ice.
- All applications will be carefully reviewed and considered by education staff. A member of the education staff will contact you about the status of the application.
