Annual Symposium on the Holocaust
The 46th Annual Symposium on the Holocaust will be held at the P. A. Woodward Instructional Resources Centre (IRC 2) at The University of British Columbia on June 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Teachers and students will engage with Professor Emeritus of History, Chris Friedrichs and Historian Dr. Lauren Faulkner Rossi, Holocaust Survivor and Author Mariette Doduck, and filmmaker Dan Schubert. The symposium also includes a documentary film excerpt and two Q&A panels where students can ask questions.
Please limit your request to a maximum of 2 classes or 60 students.
Please complete and submit the registration request form below. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your request to register. Registration will remain open until April 30, 2024.
Please note that the cost is $150/per class. Schools unable to pay the fee, which supports the VHEC’s education programs, can apply for a subsidy. Kindly contact the VHEC at 604-264-0499 or via email info@vhec.org to complete payment.
Space is limited! Requests for registration will be accepted in the order they are received. When attendance is at capacity, a waitlist will be started. Please contact us as soon as possible if the size of your class changes or if you are no longer able to attend, so that we can give those on the waitlist the opportunity to participate.
