While a student at Vancouver Talmud Torah, Nathan heard a VHEC Holocaust survivor outreach speaker share their experiences during the Holocaust. That stayed with him. Now a writer and comedian living in Los Angeles, Fielder started the not-for-profit company Summit Ice Apparel in 2015 after learning the jacket he wore while filming his shows was linked to a Holocaust denier. Nathan made the incredible commitment to donate 100% of Summit Ice Apparel’s profits to the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
Nathan embodies the lessons of Tikkun Olam, the concept of performing acts of kindness to perfect or repair the world.
Thanks to Nathan’s generosity, the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre is able to develop and deliver more programs to more people – especially students – and strengthen the abilities of educators to teach this difficult history in age appropriate ways.
We are very grateful to Nathan Fielder for his generous donation to the VHEC, and also for his partnership in raising awareness about the Holocaust and the activities of the VHEC.
