It takes a community of dedicated and talented people to help fulfill the VHEC’s mandate of Holocaust-based anti-racism education. It is with deep appreciation that the VHEC recognizes its valued volunteers who contribute their time and skills to the work of our centre.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Translation (Yiddish, German, Polish, Hebrew, Hungarian)
- Library assistance
- Notary assistance for survivor documents
- Legal restitution assistance

Become a Docent
Docents are enthusiastic, committed volunteers who lead school tours and occasional public tours of exhibitions. The VHEC is looking for people with strong communication skills, who are available mornings or afternoons at least one day a week, Monday to Friday during the school year. Teaching experience, knowledge of history and spoken French are assets. Full training is provided.
